On 29 September and 5 October, Norway notified 3 outbreaks of H5N1 and 1 outbreak of H5 HPAI in wild birds in 3 regions including Trøndelag County, with 4 wild birds infected and died.

3. Denmark reported 1 outbreak of H5N1 subtype highly pathogenic avian influenza in wild birds

On 2 October, Denmark notified 1 outbreak of H5N1 HPAI in wild birds in Guldborgsund Municipality, with 9 wild birds infected and died.

4. Sweden reported 1 outbreak of H5N1 subtype highly pathogenic avian influenza in wild birds

On 2 October, Sweden notified 1 outbreak of H5N1 HPAI in wild birds in Kristianstad Municipality, with 1 wild bird infected and died.

5. Germany reported 3 outbreaks of H5N1 subtype highly pathogenic avian influenza in wild birds

On 2 and 8 October, Germany notified 3 outbreaks of H5N1 HPAI in wild birds in 2 regions including North Rhine-Westphalia State, with 8 wild birds and backyard poultry infected and died, and 49 culled.
