On August 24 and 28, Norway reported 3 outbreaks of H5N1 HPAI in wild birds in Nordland County and one other location, resulting in 3 wild birds infected and 2 deaths.

2. Portugal reported 1 H5N1 HPAI outbreak in wild birds

On August 25, Portugal reported 1 outbreak of H5N1 HPAI in wild birds in Aveiro District, resulting in 1 wild bird infected and died.

3. The United Kingdom reported 1 H5N1 HPAI outbreak in wild birds

On August 25, the United Kingdom reported 1 outbreak of H5N1 HPAI in wild birds in Wales, resulting in 1 wild bird infected and died.

4. Denmark reported 1 H5N1 HPAI outbreak in wild birds

On August 24, Hungary reported 6 outbreaks of African swine fever (ASF) in wild boar in Komárom-Esztergom County and one other location, resulting in 6 wild boar infected and died.

2. Finland reported 7 ASF outbreaks in wild boar

On August 24, Finland reported 7 outbreaks of ASF in wild boar in Southern Finland Region, resulting in 7 wild boar infected and died.

3. Poland reported 2 ASF outbreaks in domestic pigs and 34 in wild boar

On August 24 and 28, Poland reported 2 outbreaks in domestic pigs and 34 in wild boar of ASF in Pomeranian Voivodeship and 4 other locations, resulting in 390 domestic pigs infected with 2 deaths, and 42 wild boar infected and died.

4. Latvia reported 11 ASF outbreaks in wild boar

On August 25, Latvia reported 11 outbreaks of ASF in wild boar in Talsi Municipality and 4 other locations, resulting in 11 wild boar infected and died.

5. Estonia reported 2 ASF outbreaks in wild boar

On August 26, Estonia reported 2 outbreaks of ASF in wild boar in Rapla County, resulting in 2 wild boar infected and died.

6. Serbia reported 65 ASF outbreaks in domestic pigs

On August 27 and 28, Serbia reported 65 outbreaks of ASF in domestic pigs in Kolubara District and 3 other locations, resulting in 107 domestic pigs infected, 45 deaths, and 1,722 culled.

On August 28, South Africa reported 3 outbreaks of ASF in domestic pigs in North West Province and one other location, resulting in 93 domestic pigs infected, 65 deaths, and 35 culled.
