On August 10, Sweden reported 1 outbreak of H5N1 HPAI in wild birds on Orust Island, resulting in 1 wild bird infected and died.

 

2. Norway reported 1 H5N1 HPAI outbreak in wild birds

On August 10, Norway reported 1 outbreak of H5N1 HPAI in wild birds in Telemark County, resulting in 1 wild bird infected and died.

 

3. The Netherlands reported 2 H5N1 HPAI outbreaks in wild birds

On August 10, the Netherlands reported 2 outbreaks of H5N1 HPAI in wild birds in Zeeland Province and one other location, resulting in 2 wild birds infected and died.

 

4. Honduras reported 1 H5 subtype HPAI outbreak in wild birds

On August 14, Romania reported 3 outbreaks of rabies in Galați County and one other location, resulting in 2 wild red foxes and 1 wild jackal infected and culled.

 

4. Turkey reported 3 rabies outbreaks

On August 14, Turkey reported 3 outbreaks of rabies in Muş Province and 2 other locations, resulting in 4 cattle infected, 3 deaths, and 1 culled.

 

5. Thailand reported 30 rabies outbreaks

On August 10 and 13, Hungary reported 8 outbreaks in wild boar and 3 in domestic pigs of African swine fever (ASF) in Fejér County and 3 other locations, resulting in 11 wild boar infected and died, and an unspecified number of domestic pigs infected.

 

2. Croatia reported 5 ASF outbreaks in wild boar and 30 in domestic pigs

On August 10, Croatia reported 5 outbreaks in wild boar and 30 in domestic pigs of ASF in Virovitica-Podravina County and one other location, resulting in 5 wild boar infected and died, and among domestic pigs, 43 infected, 13 deaths, and 567 culled.

 

3. Bulgaria reported 4 ASF outbreaks in wild boar

On August 10, Bulgaria reported 4 outbreaks of ASF in wild boar in Plovdiv Province and one other location, resulting in 4 wild boar infected and died.
